Well, it had to happen sooner or later… but, who’d a thunk the Democrats would have been able to muster such a resounding smack-down? Truth be told it wasn’t all as unexpected as one might have thought.
Woodstock politics have been fairly predictable. This isn’t our great-grandparents’ sleepy little hollow anymore… not since the the population started growing and the ‘new republicans’ staged their political coup some decades ago. Over time, they solidified their hold on the boards and became what some have recently referred to as the ‘old guard’. Then a couple of years ago, a group of ‘new democrats’ stormed the democratic town committee and ousted what had become a dedicated group of delegates who were all too comfortable with getting only the table scraps of the political banquet.
