I’m not really quite certain, but I think you are addressing me. So, I’ll go with that presumption given your salutation of ‘Well Sister’.
You are illustrating why a strong fundamental education is so very, very important. An essential part of being informed is the ability to store and digest the information presented. This requires not only some level of understanding, but also the ability to merge data from separate sources and some talent to remember what you’ve been exposed to, learned and digested.
In the three plus years John and I have been providing the forum of this blog site, the one absolute uncompromising position we have held is our support of education.
We have no power. We deliberately highlight points of view that we do not agree with. We do not spread hate.
Isn’t Avenger the one that was posting under the fictional child “Holly”?
Actually, Avenger you are the one that is spreading hate. You are always the first to attack people. In fact you once accused me of bribing public officials and corruption, of course with no proof because it was all a lie. But that was not an attack, right?
You know what, I respect the fact that people have opposing views, different perspectives. I respect why people want low taxes. I expect to have my views to be respected too and not told that I am spreading hate, need to change, and essentially told to shut up when I am trying to challenge the old guard in this town.
I do not respect people who lie or say absurdly stupid things (like teachers should work for free, or everyone should be replaced by younger, cheaper workers, by Maggie and Ann) in order to justify their positions. When they do that it is clear they are only out for themselves and could care less about what is right.
And now lets talk about issues. In a recent post Avenger made the claim that the BOE spent $500,000 to overturn Prop 46. When asked to provide proof, he said it was all in the records and we needed to check for ourselves. HOWEVER, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OR DOCUMENT THAT SAYS THAT THE BOE EVER SPENT $500K TO OVERTURN PROP 46.
You should either apologize or produce the evidence to back up your claim. Otherwise you are a liar and your words mean nothing. By the way, you should expect to be “attacked” on this site when you spread lies that only serve you and ultimately hurt this town.

No Speller, Becki is not writing as ‘A Student’. Occasionally, I use a pen name, but rarely. I tend to put my name on what I say. ‘A Student’ is another commenter and we are happy to have his/her input. Can I swear he/she actually is a student? No, but from the postings from this individual, I would tend to believe they are an actual student… a capable writer with fairly well developed reasoning power nonetheless.
By the way, would whatever ‘A Student’ has said have more weight if it had been written by me… or less? We focus on ideas and discussions here, not identities. Thank you for participating, but let’s focus on the what and not on the who. – Becki

No, I am not Mrs. Leavitt…. I do figure things out about the buses various ways. If what you’re suggesting is that Mrs. Leavitt is dealing with certain issues through this name, no, that’s not the case.
But consider this. Does the average bus driver spend enough time inside the school to make it in to the boiler rooms and to see the laptop cart, microphone systems, and Smartboards that the middle school has? Or do they spend enough time at the Academy to come up with the list of issues with the school that I posted a while back? I’m not saying it never happens, but to my knowledge it doesn’t happen under normal circumstances!
I know I’m far more interested in school matters worthy of discussion at the Cafe than the average student, but I never thought I’d end up getting accused of being Mrs. Leavitt! Or rather, I never thought she’d be accused of being me….
My question is…..what makes this a poem? In my world, poems are supposed to rhyme. Otherwise, it’s just a bunch of random thoughts strung together with no puncuation!!!
