from Woodstock Valley Girl
Subtitle: An Ode to ‘Bill’
Fact: Frank Corden never would have been endorsed by the Woodstock Republicans (and by “Woodstock Republicans” I mean, the nominating committee of the RTC, the entire RTC, and a caucus of all Republicans) for the Board of Education this year. He would have been nominated if he were to pull a primary petition, force and win a primary and win that primary BUT Bill, let’s come back to reality, the odds of Frank prevailing in a Republican primary this past September were slim to none, you know it and I know it and so does Frank.
Fact: There are three methods by which to endorse candidate for municipal office, I quoted the statute word for word and you sit there insisting I’m wrong and that I’m “taking things out of context.” “Petitioning” is NOT a method of “endorsement.” Bill, you are obviously too stupid to realize this. Petitioning is a method by which one gets their name on a primary ballot which then determines who gets NOMINATED. Bill, this is why I’ve been asking you to please explain to me the difference between “endorsement” and “nomination” and unfortunately your obstinate attitude and refusal to do so has resulted in you making a complete ass out of yourself because you’ve proven you don’t know the key difference between those terms as they relate to candidates on the ballot.
Fact: Delegates for district and state conventions are chosen IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL PARTY RULES which varies from town to town, some do it by Town Committee and others by caucus. If you don’t believe me Bill, start looking in the legal notice section this month and you will see MANY towns posting legal notices for party caucuses that will be held to “endorse delegates for state and district conventions.” The window for towns to hold those caucuses this year is between March 23rd and March 30th and the legal notices need to be in at least five days before that. Tell ya what Bill, I’ll scan one and email it to the admin who will post it for all to see how wrong you are.
Once again, Bill is either too stupid to realize this or simply continuing to lie at this point because he refuses to admit I’m right and he’s 100% wrong. The following is probably the most ridiculous thing Bill has posted in this thread so far:
“act: Delegates (for state or national convention) are chosen by town committee, not caucus.”
Bill, you are 100% wrong, plain and simple. Delegates for “national convention” are certainly NOT chosen by “town committee” that one is truly laughable! Delegates for the Republican national convention are chosen in accordance with STATE PARTY RULES and those rules change from time to time. Right now they say that whoever wins the presidential primary in Connecticut submits a list of proposed delegates to the State Party Chairman who then submits that list to the entire membership (the 72 members) of the State Central Committee who ultimately approves that list. WOW, I mean just WOW, Bill you are so wrong and so off the deep end with that statement! You have absolutely proven my point that you don’t know what you’re talking about.
But according to Bill “this conversation is over” an infantile tactic used by many who have just had their asses handed to them.
Bill, your arrogance, ignorance and stupidity have reached levels I never knew were possible. Arrogance and ignorance may be able to be fixed but unfortunately you can’t fix stupid so you’re probably a lost cause……

Unfortunately I doubt anyone knows where this all started. For anyone who cares, you need to see the discussion in comments to the “Help for Small Businesses in Woodstock” article.
I’m truly disappointed with Bill, I thought I had first found someone who shares my interest in election law as he first appeared to be interested and knowledgeable on the subject.
Sadly though he resorted to lying and twisting words and has become a huge disappointment….
I’m all for people’s rights to disagree on matters of opinion but when the laws and party rules clearly say one thing and guys like “Bill” make up their own version of laws and party rules, that’s just plain wrong.
Now he doesn’t want to talk about it! That’s too funny!
Am I missing something? You write even MORE than Con, I am lost, Who is “Bill”?
You’re “missing something” if you don’t read the original article “Help for Small Businesses in Woodstock.”
If you’re still “missing something” after reading that then there’s nothing more anyone can offer. If you don’t care or can’t understand then that’s fine.
WVG is right, I see posts by Bill there myself.
That’s the only problem, I find, with the Cafe being a blog; when new articles are made, older ones are pushed behind the scenes and forgotten — in most cases, as we’ve seen here. It’s nice that the blog format displays issues in chronological order and gives the Cafe a “current events” type of feel, but it’s hard keeping track of comments.
I think it’d be very convenient to have a “recent posts” box on the left/right that would list the most recent 10 threads, and give the date of the most recent comment with it.
Thanks A Student, Our Template works well for us even with its constraints. I would like to have what you propose, but we will not change this template – defects and all. Sometimes it’s nice to forget the thread.
On another point WVG suggested that our high visitation is due to spam. We monitor visitation directly on our server. Spam is catagorized separately as “non-viewing hits” so it’s not factored into visitation. We have thousands of unique visitors of which 600 – 1000 are reading about Woodstock (turning pages). We have posted so many images that Google is now directing Russians, Arabs, etc to the Cafe to see our images. One such favorite is the article I published on “Gene Doping” which is of little interest to Woodstockians. Nevertheless, it is nice that others are interested … another favorite is “Hollywood Comes to Woodstock” written by Jennica Heifer. WVG should understand the value of others reading our articles regardless of their merit.
When I was publishing scientific papers, we never knew how many read our papers but we had a clue from others citing our papers in their papers (this can be measured). It’s always nice to know that others read what you write. The same is true for WVG, I’m sure.
Bill, you really need to just admit you were wrong and apologize instead of continuing to lie and post misleading and wrong information in other threads.
Why can’t you just admit you’re wrong? Why is that so difficult for you?
For further clarification ramdom, you need to review all the “comments” under the “Help for Small Businesses in Woodstock” article and you’ll see where the original discussion took place that lead to the admins starting this new article.
Hmmmm, where’d Bill go?
