The boot drives we have done have been for the heating fund for Woodstock
residents.
As to the thermal cams, yes we have them and, yes, they work awesome. They really came into heavy availability after that terrible fire in Worcester when they lost all those fireman.
I have seen these cams used in room searches for victims, also seen them used at night car crashes looking into the woods for additional victims who might have crawled or wandered off. Where they really shine is for house fires. You can “look into” walls for hotspots. That saves us (and the home owner) from tearing away all the drywall or plaster from the area or ceiling.
Next time you see a truck on display ask to check one out they are really a valuable tool we have.
Thanks, DB. I was unaware of the Boot Drive’s purpose. The Fireman may want to make this more clear and I bet donations will increase.
The last two Boot Drives I am aware of happened at the pink house
and ag day. Those were both for the heating fund for Woodstock residents
distributed through TEEG I believe.

Yes.the boot drives are for the heat fund distributed by TEEG. All three fire stations are happy to participate.
We also have an annual toy drive at the Hill station (76) and a boot may also come out for that.
The only way we at Bungay raise funds is through our twice a year BBQ and the occasional donation.
That money will go into our annual open house, a Halloween event (hopefully) and a Christmas Supper for the volunteers.
This year Bungay celebrates it’s 75th year. There will be more to follow on that
