Follow Becki on FaceBook (Becki Calkins Leavitt) as she treks to Northern Minnesota and then down to Virginia Beach. She’ll make it to central Wisconsin today.

Becki and her ‘friend’ Henrietta (a hedgehog cousin of a porcupine) are driving to Bemidji MN in the Lake Country in the north central part of the state. Both her mother and father grew up there before ending up in Burlingame CA just south of San Francisco where her father worked for United Airlines and her mother taught in the public school system.

Mariah will fly in tomorrow from Richmond VA. From Bemidji they will drive further northeast to join her mother, Mryn, on Saturday for a week of partying with the extended family on a lake front.
