On a side note, I found out today that Romney will give tax brakes to companies who shift production overseas. More research makes this seem somewhat truthful, since he proposes exemption from profits made from overseas — which encourages overseas production.

Please help me understand this. I don’t understand how simply the place of manufacture determines “where” profits are coming from; the way I interpret it, if someone from overseas purchased an item with profits coming here, then that profit would not be taxed. Of course, I couldn’t expect this kind of logical thinking….
