The purple arrows identify some notable Noes. Rosa Delauro voted No.

More propaganda from the commies, in this tax bill, Taxes will go up on the middle class. If you have the courage , save your last pay stube and compare it with a pay stube a few months from now. Come bacik and report if your middle class status was changed by this vote. I don’t think you are smart enough to do it unless you are instructed by msnbc or huff post first to explain it to you. And guess what you bunch of dopes, Warren Buffet’s taxes remain exactly the same but his secretary will pay thousands more each year. And your saviour is is spending millions of our money in Hawaii again on his monthly two week vacation.
Mary, There’s no propagada here. The minor tax rise that every taxpayer will share is due to the following: the two-percentage point cut to the payroll tax that the president secured in late 2010 will lapsed at midnight and will not be renewed. This 2% tax break was a temporary measure to stimulate the ecomomy in the as we were coming out of the recession Recession. This will have little impact on my paycheck compared to the huge increase in taxes if House Republicans and Democrats had not passed the tax bill on January 1. In case you missed it, people making $400,000 or more wil jump to a higher tax rate and will incur significantly higher income tax liabilities.
It will be interesting to see the negotiations over reduction in spending, e.g. Defense, entitlements, etc. The Cafe will be following and listing who votes for what. I don’t recall seeing any ‘Commies’ on the list but there were some whack-jobs like your friend Allen West of Florida who lost his seat in the house for claiming that there are 80 Commies in the House of Representatives.
John is correct. It was not a tax increase but rather the expiration of a payroll tax that will amount to about $100 a month for the avg worker.
only communist propagandists couldcall tax hikes on the middle class tax relief, kind of like calling the fort hood terrorist attack a workplace violence incident.
